Ready to pick up that needle and thread for the first time and only have a few hours? Or finally take that sewing machine you bought out of the box and put it to good use? With this class we are going back to the basics, starting from scratch, and taking you step by step through all the essentials to make learning to sew a fun and inspiring experience.

This class is perfect for complete beginners & people who have sewn in the past but need a refresher without committing to a 4 week class. You will learn how to competently use a sewing machine and complete a tote bag.

 During this course you will learn:

· how to thread a sewing machine

· how to thread a bobbin

· sewing machine basics

· basic machine stitches & seam finishes

· first class step-by-step tote bag construction

*After you take the first class you can choose the project you would like to make. 
Book sleeve, Laptop case, make up bag, mini tote bag, ruffled heart bag, ruffled heart pillow, flower tote, apron and more projects to choose from. 

You don't need any prior knowledge of sewing. Just show up ready to have a good time and learn a new skill.  All sewing machines & supplies are provided. This will be an intimate class up to 5 people. 


* If you have your sewing machine and would like to bring it you can. This would be the class if you are new to your machine. Please just send me a message let me know you are bringing it. Celia 562-652-4010

• If paying by PO, enroll for a class online using promo code

”CHARTER”

  • We encourage parents to only enroll for the classes the student can commit to
  • An issued PO alone does not hold a spot in class
  • A PO must have the student's name, class month, and price if a PO is not received prior to class, the parent is responsible for the payment
  • Email a copy of the PO to celiaescoto@icloud.com
  • Students must commit to the entire session
  • Unfortunately, we cannot prorate or accommodate make-up classes.
